As a person with health concerns I could not find anything with under 1,000 mg of sodium on the medu. The food tastes wonderful, the atmosphere and staff are great, My only problem was the lasck of healthy options.

Great BBQ! I loved everything about this place. The wait staff was friendly and for the most part on top of it. I had Dave's Favorite burger. The ground beef is mixed with brisket before cooked. The patty was also seasoned perfectly and it was melt in your mouth tender. One of the best burgers I've had. The sides were also great! I love that they have 6 bbq sauces to choose from. Watch out for Wilbur's Revenge, that spice sticks around for quite a while!

This place is SO good. Our waitress was awesome, always had our refills coming before we asked, and was educated when we had questions on the menu. She was pleasant and patient. The wings are some of the best I've had at any restaurant and their food was delicious and brought out surprisingly quick. The variety of sauces were amazing and made it a great experience. We will be back!
Typical Famous Dave's experience. My St. Lewis ribs were fall-off-the-bone over-done (which is pretty typical of BBQ joints in this part of the country), still tender and juicy though. Baby back ribs across the table were pushed out to the table a little fast, still pretty fiber-y. And young waitress didn't know the beer list. There were only about 10 beers on it, more than half of those being the American macros. It's not too much to ask a kid to learn that. All in all, corporate BBQ is better than no BBQ.

Normally a big fan of Famous Dave's....but was very disappointed here. My shoes stuck to the floor near the bathrooms...our waitress seemed friendly but not helpful. We asked about drink specials and she wasn't sure...but didn't offer to find out. We ordered drinks and saw them sitting on the bar for a long time...had to remind her to get them for us. During the meal our son choked and although the manager came over and took away his plate...we cleaned up everything else. No offer of getting him something else. Very disappointed in our experience but we can't say we weren't warned....lots of bad reviews.

We had a party of four for dinner. One chose the Burnt Ends sandwich, one chose the Texas Brisket, one chose the Chopped Pork, and one chose the steak. Carlee T., our waitress, was very attentive for the most part, and did her level best. All of the entrees and sides were good, except one, but not great, and the portions were satisfactory. The only bad entree was the steak. While cooked to order - rare - the cut of meat was substandard and full of gristle - tough and not edible. It was sent back. We were told 6 minutes on the replacement. It arrived some 20 minutes later, after the other three in the party were finished eating. And the replacement was no better than the first one so one person ended up not eating and left with the others. Now our server contacted the manager on duty, who didn't even bother to come to the table - just took the price of the steak off the ticket. Are you kidding me? A customer orders one of the most expensive menu items, has to send it back twice, and the manager doesn't bother contacting the customer? We get far better $8.99 steaks at Texas Roadhouse than the $21 Famous Dave's steak. I will not be patronizing this restaurant in the future.

Terrible service!! FAMOUS CASSIE--our waitress, had the most wrinkled shirt on I have seen. Instant turn off- The scab on her right wrist, I was eye level with it-YUK! We ordered and she left, waiting waiting, Oh her she comes with our, group of four, drinks...waiting waiting..then our salads show up.she leaves...TWO SECONDS LATER. two other employees show up with our meal' Won't be back, you don't know your job; drinks, salads--pause-meals--then find another- My wife still left her a $10.00 tip--

I'm on a road trip and stopped here because I've been to two other Famous Dave's before and thought it'd be good. I thought wrong. Service is slow and it wasn't even crowded the least bit. Our waitress never told us about the specials (it's a Thursday night during NFL season so they have drink specials, all you can eat rib tips, and half price apps). We found out by overhearing the table next to us ordering (after we had already ordered). Then, the worst part: My boyfriend's chicken sandwich was uncooked. He took a bite into it and it was still raw and cold. Ew. We both lost our appetites instantly. After finally getting our waitress's attention, we showed her the chicken and she offered a new one. Uh, no, we don't want another frozen chicken that's hardly cooked. So she got the lazy manager over, who had been sitting in a booth on the other side of the restaurant, who offered anything my boyfriend wanted as a replacement. He was nice about it, but of course that's his job once a customer eats raw food. But that's why I gave the two stars - for the comped burger after the raw chicken.

The staff and bartender were attentive and provided quick service, meal was so so. The shredded pork was the highlight along with the potato salad and corn bread. The one item keeping from 5 stars is the "Texas beef brisket". Anyone who has had real Texas brisket knows the thin dry piece that they serve here is far from it. Tasted like it was frozen then microwaved. Lots of other menu items to choose from though. All in all, ok food and good service.

i tend to stay away from chain restaurants, but sometimes i acquiesce to the demands of others and i'll find myself at famous dave's. the barbeque is good, the sauces are decent, but once you've had BBQ in locations like memphis, kansas city, and san antonio, it becomes apparent that famous dave's is not much more than a mcfranchise. now, if you're going to build an empire of barbeque joints across multiple states, you better have some decent food. which they have. the ribs are good, the chicken is good, and so are the burgers.that being said, there are better and certainly worse BBQ places in the area. this is squarely middle of the road. i've found the wait staff to be friendly and competent, so good job on the hiring process. the beer selection is kind of meh, but at least i can get an odell IPA. i've never been a fan of many different televisions mounted all over the room that are all set to the same channel. it just bugs me. if it's something special like a playoff game or whatever, i can understand. but come on...give us something more to look at!

Great pulled pork sandwich and St. Louis style ribs. We ordered ours dry, with just the rub. Broccoli was over cooked and heavily salted; however, I got the distinct impression that broccoli is probably not ordered as a side often. Heavy in the fried carbs department for the majority of the menu. Service as great & we enjoyed our lunch at the bar.

Like any new restaurant in rapid city, it was busy. Servers were pleasant. Food was good, not great. Ordered the rib tips. Eh. A bit too much cartilage for my tastes. Variety of sauces were fund and the sides were very good. I will go again and go for the more traditional ribs or baby backs.
